Lace up and join us for a morning on the trails at Red Mountain Park! This 5K run brings our community together for a flat, scenic out-and-back course through one of Birmingham's most beloved green spaces — followed by prizes, food, and time to connect with neighbors. 

Why we're running: Every dollar raised goes directly to the West Homewood Food Market, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to unite the West Homewood and Greater Birmingham community through the celebration of diverse foods, cultures, and family. Our mission is to build a vibrant, inclusive weekly gathering place where local vendors and farmers can thrive, families of every background can come together, and economic opportunity takes root right here in our community — with proceeds reinvested directly into the people, schools, and institutions that make West Homewood great. 

Funds from this run help us launch our inaugural market season, support local vendors and farmers, and fuel programs like our Business Student Scholarship, which helps West Homewood and Greater Birmingham students pursue degrees in business and build futures rooted in the same community that raised them. 

What your registration includes: 

- Chip-timed 5K run on Red Mountain Park's BMRR South Trail 

- Race bib and event swag - Water and aid station support along the course 

- Awards ceremony and prizes for top finishers 

- Post-race community celebration
