The National Center for Women & IT (NCWIT) is honored to keynote the September TechTuesday event in Birmingham, Alabama. TechTuesday is the popular monthly speaker series program where technologists, leaders, and experts in computing related fields present topics of interest to CEOs and other community leaders.
On September 17th, NCWIT will be announcing new Technical Skills Training Funds available to Aspirations in Computing Community Members across Alabama. This is part of the Regional Digital Skills Initiative which launched in the Spring of 2019 with generous funds from the Cognizant US Foundation.
NCWIT, in collaboration with Tech Birmingham, Innovate Birmingham, and other regional partners, will provide technical training opportunities such as Software Engineering, Data Analytics and others to members of the Aspirations in Computing Community in Alabama, especially those who desire to gain employment in regional technical positions. Among others, these courses will help fill skills gaps identified by industry leaders, and will contribute to existing efforts to build the technical workforce in Alabama.
