You’ve Got AI: The Story of Artificial Intelligence and a 112 Year Old Company
 
How has a 112 year old risk adverse company approached the implementation of artificial intelligence? More importantly, why would an insurance company even need to use AI? Join us as we lay a foundation of what AI is, discuss lessons learned and best practices for implementation in companies, both big and small, and talk about why you’re already in trouble if you’re not exploring how to implement AI.

Ben Podbielski is a member of the Digital and Innovation team at Protective Life where he focuses on applying entrepreneurship principals to internal proof of concepts, with a specific focus towards artificial intelligence. In addition to being honored as one of the EDPA’s 2018 “iMerging” Young Leaders; earlier this year Ben was selected as one of 90 people, representing 32 different countries, to participate in MIT’s Technology and Innovation Bootcamp in Tokyo, which included the experience of being the first person from Alabama to visit the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant since the tsunami. Ben currently holds a bachelor’s in computer science from LaGrange College and also earned his master’s in information technology, master’s in business administration, and master’s in project management.

TechTuesday is our highly-attended, monthly speaker series.
