As always, catered lunch will be served. Doors open at 11:30 and program runs from 12-1pm.


Meet The Panel

  • Moderator: Michael Landes of Contrast Security
    • Michael Landes is a Regional Sales Manager for Contrast Security’s Runtime Application Security division where he's spent the past couple years helping organizations modernize their application security practices. He brings 10+ years of commercial and public sector sales engagement experience from time at Contrast, AWS, and Google where he engaged with clients to transform their businesses leveraging the power of technology. Michael holds a BA in business from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN and currently resides in Birmingham, AL.
  • Alexander Linn of Shipshape
  • Charles Jackson of Alabama Power Company
    • Charles Jackson serves as an Innovation Development Manager at Alabama Power where he is responsible for supporting programming for Techstars Alabama EnergyTech Accelerator while growing partnerships for statewide innovation efforts that expand Alabama Power’s innovation efforts geographically and across industries.

      Before joining Alabama Power, Charles served as Program Director for the Montgomery TechLab while holding a faculty appointment at Auburn University at Montgomery where he served as the Director of Graduate Programs of the College of Business and taught Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

      He is a graduate of Leadership Montgomery’s Torchbearers Class IV and a member of Alabama Leadership Initiatives 2013 Class. He has received various awards and acknowledgments; including the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, Emerge Montgomery’s 2014 Young Professional of the Year Award, and the 2017-2018 Excellence in Teaching Award from the College of Business of Auburn University at Montgomery.

      He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and an advocate for education and economic opportunity.

  • Erika Boeing of Accelerate Wind
    • Erika is founder and CEO of Accelerate Wind, where she is revolutionizing rooftop wind energy in the commercial and industrial spaces by drastically lower the cost of small wind turbine technology. Erika has worked as a systems engineer, designing and patenting new energy, water and waste technologies for small base camps, has completed a Fulbright Scholarship in the Netherlands, and has worked as a research fellow for Project Drawdown, where she performed climate and economic modeling which contributed to Drawdown, the best-selling environmental book of 2017. Erika is a systems thinker and problem solver, most comfortable developing products that require knowledge from a wide variety of disciplines.
