TECHS AND THE CITY
Wednesday, January 28, 2026 (5:30 PM - 8:00 PM) (CST)
Description
Overview
2026 is around the corner—and the playbook is changing fast.
Techs and the City is back at Workplay for “2026, What’s Next?”: a community-driven night built for the people doing the work—builders, operators, and creators across Birmingham’s tech ecosystem.
Instead of one stage and one conversation, we’re doing breakouts inside the venue so you can go where it’s most relevant and walk away with ideas you can actually use.
Breakout Tracks
Pick the track that fits you (or where you’re trying to grow):
- Creative — design, content, brand, and how creative work is changing
- Technology — dev, IT, tooling, and what shipping looks like in 2026
- AI — practical adoption, real use cases, what’s hype vs what’s useful
- Marketing — growth, attribution, content strategy, modern funnels
- Founders — building resilient businesses, hiring, operations, momentum
- Birmingham Tech Groups — connect with local communities and ways to plug in
Each room is designed to be interactive, not lecture-y: discussion prompts, practical examples, and plenty of time to meet people who do what you do.
Why Attend?
This isn’t a keynote night. It’s a “compare notes with the room” night.
Come if you want:
- A clearer read on what skills + tools matter heading into 2026
- Practical ideas you can take back to your team (or your job search)
- New local connections across disciplines
- A community event that’s not weirdly salesy
Grab a ticket. Bonus: you’ll also be queued up to receive our newsletter.
