We've all heard of this elusive "Digital Divide" but how does it effect a person's outcome on career paths and workforce development? Executive Director of Innovate Birmingham, Haley Kendrick will discuss with our audience the importance of digital skills and how her organization is creating opportunities for those seeking to change their lives with valuable workforce training.

Haley Medved Kendrick (PhD 2018) is the Director of Workforce Development for the Innovate Birmingham Workforce Program within University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) External Affairs. Previously, Haley led the Innovate Birmingham operations as Director of Operations. Before joining Innovate Birmingham, Haley has served as a Research Fellow in the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Center for Outcomes and Effective Research and Education. Haley earned a MA in Sociology from UAB in 2015, and a PhD in Medical Sociology at UAB in 2018.
