HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology is a nonprofit research institution using genomics to improve human health, secure the global food supply, and drive economic growth in the life sciences. With locations in Huntsville and Dothan, Alabama, HudsonAlpha accelerates the transition from lab discovery to real-world application by fostering a unique ecosystem of world-class researchers, educators, and more than 45 diverse biotech companies. From diagnosing rare diseases and developing more resilient global crops to training the next generation of STEM leaders, HudsonAlpha is improving lives today and building a more sustainable tomorrow.

HudsonAlpha isn’t just pioneering breakthroughs, but cultivating a thriving biotech hub and training the future scientific workforce right here in our community. With opportunities for innovating biotech and agtech companies to lease space and join its ecosystem, HudsonAlpha strives to provide an environment for entrepreneurs to make an impact faster. Companies of every size, stage, and biotech or agtech industry vertical can find themselves a home in the HudsonAlpha ecosystem through direct leases of lab and office space, joining the Primer Lab or Grow Lab startup incubators in Huntsville and Dothan respectively, or connecting to the Institute’s newly founded Venture Fund.
