PRESENTERS

Angella Carlisle

Mrs. Carlisle has spent 20+ years in the Information Security field. She began her career as the Systems Security Officer for a major healthcare benefits administrator, where she was responsible for compliance with federal information security regulations. She continued to expand her information security compliance expertise in the banking, healthcare, and insurance sectors, and currently serves as Information Security Audit Team Lead for Guidewire Software, Inc. She holds CISSP, CRISC, CHSP, and CDPSE certifications, is an ISSA senior member, and currently serves on the boards of the local Birmingham ISACA chapter and the Central Alabama Women in Cybersecurity (WiCys) affiliate. She is an active member of Vestavia Hills Methodist Church. She earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama and an MBA from UAB.

On a personal note, she enjoys spending time with her husband Ben, their two sons, the family dog Molly, a blissfully sweet Irish wolfhound mix, and foster kitty Lucy. Her hobbies include running, tennis, reading, writing poetry, and music.

Elizabeth Anderson

Elizabeth Anderson is an accomplished tech leader currently serving as CEO and co-founder of LunarLab, a UX design and product strategy firm based in Birmingham, Alabama. The company helps businesses create innovative, inclusive, ethical, and profitable digital products. Elizabeth’s background is in product strategy, project management, and leadership. With over a decade of experience in the tech industry, she has built and supported a wide range of software products (mobile, web, AI, SaaS, IoT, on-premises) across many industries (fintech, eCommerce, education, social media, nonprofit, sports, logistics, and more). A highly organized professional, she is known for ability to solve big problems, improve operational efficiency, balance creativity with practicality, and craft exceptional user experiences. Emily Hart

Emily started in communications in 2007 in non-profit and moved to the technology sector in 2010. Her work has been published in national magazines and mass media owned websites, as well as local and niche publications. Her four years with Apple included public speaking, event planning, technical instruction and troubleshooting, and global retail marketing strategy at the company’s corporate headquarters in Cupertino, California.

Emily has led MotionMobs’ product development since she created the company’s consulting division in 2015. With a background in journalism, marketing, and technical education, Emily serves as liaison between MotionMobs’ technical team and the client, overseeing the development strategy and release of more than 50 projects during her tenure. Emily coaches entrepreneurs through Innovation Depot, Prosper, and EDPA’s Alabama Launchpad program, sits on the advisory board for SouthPoint Bank and the Samford University Journalism & Mass Communication Advisory Council, and is a member of The CMO Institute Class of 2020.
