Event Description:

We are proud to have The National Center for Women & IT (NCWIT) as the speaker for TechTuesday! They will be bringing their team to Birmingham to meet our community and the members of TechBirmingham.

NCWIT will be announcing the new Technical Skills Training Funds available to Aspirations in Computing Women across Alabama. This is part of the Regional Digital Skills Initiative which launched in the Spring of 2019 with generous funds from the Cognizant US Foundation.

NCWIT in collaboration with Tech Birmingham, Innovate Birmingham and other regional partners will be providing technical training opportunities such as Software Engineering, Data Analytics and others to Alabama Aspirations in Computing women-- especially those who desire to gain employment in regional technical positions. These courses as well as several others due to roll out late 2019/early 2020, will help to fill skills gaps which have been identified by industry leaders and contribute to existing efforts in building the technical pipeline in Alabama.

TechTuesday is our highly-attended, monthly speaker series.

This event is designed to offer members, as well as guests, an opportunity to hear from top regional executives, thought-leaders, public officials, and other influential members of the tech and innovation communities.

Join us for networking and new connections as we learn about various topics from dynamic speakers and presenters. Come with a friend and leave with some new ones.
