Red Mountain Makers is hosting a Pi and Pies night, Thursday, March 14th, 7 pm, at the makerspace! We’ll have some Raspberry Pis (small low-power computers) available for tryout, along with some Arduino boards, and bootable USBs with Raspbian OS that you can run on your existing laptop or computer, and tryout, install or run directly from the USB, including saving files back to the stick The Raspbian Linux OS is a lightweight 32-bit operating system that comes with introductory programming and Arduino development IDEs (integrated development environments) preloaded. It’s a great option for programs with limited budgets, as the sticks can be created in bulk for about $7 - $10 each.
