Job Description
SUMMARY:  Manages design, development, implementation, and maintenance of computer network activities for large, logistics operations.
  • Develops and implements design, configuration, installation, and maintenance of network hardware, software, and telecommunications services.
  • Maintains the integrity of the network/systems security and optimization of the network (LAN and WAN). 
  • Configure PC’s, Workstations, Mobile-Data Terminals (MDT), Printers and Networks.
  • Monitor and Maintain Wireless Networks and their supported components and interfaces.
  • ASRS Systems Support
  • Requisition and/or Procurement of New and Replacement IT Equipment.
  • Repair of IT Components and the Decision to Perform this in-house or externally.
  • Monitoring, Supporting, Maintaining and Expanding (as necessary) the IT Infrastructure.
  • Responds to the needs and questions of network users; troubleshoots, diagnoses, and fixes hardware and/or software problems.
  • Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories, and security.
  • Cyber Security and IT Management
  • Prompt reaction to events and requests, especially to prevent or minimize system or operational downtime in-house and at our customer.
  • Installs and configures desktop and laptop systems.
  • Takes a leadership partnership role with continuous improvement.
  • Audit warehouse processes for conformance to customer specifications.
  • Compiles and writes training materials and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Assists operations in achieving total customer satisfaction in Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Utilizes key measurement data to develop a quality plan with clear definition of objectives and actions with time lines.
  • Develop plans to be able to meet ISO system requirements.
  • Monitors and maintains proper inventory levels; authorizes purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
  • Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
  • Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university in Information Technology or 5 to 7 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the Automotive/Automotive Industry or similar production environment.
  • Extensive WMS Knowledge (Technical Expert)
  • Must possess working knowledge of and direct experience with network design
and troubleshooting; routing, bridging, and gateways; Internet web site applications and servers; LAN support; hardware/software.
  • Advanced EDP/EDI knowledge and experience (Operating System, Software, Networks, etc.)
