Fledging’s on a mission to bring premium electronics to everyone, starting with SSD storage for Mac. It’s crucial to our strategy that we rapidly recruit Mac repair shops, universities, enterprise clients, and other creative client types as direct sales customers. The Sales Specialist will be Fledging’s public face for this effort by studying local markets, finding qualified leads, establishing relationships with those leads, converting them to Fledging customers who align with our values, and helping ensure those customers are delighted that they chose Fledging.

We’re looking for a driven Sales Specialist to join our growing team. As a Sales Specialist, you are the first point of contact for all of Fledging’s sales efforts. You’ll generate demand, interest, and excitement for Fledging’s products to create a steady pipeline of new and recurring business through long-lasting business partnerships. You’ll work with our Account Manager to ensure that our existing accounts are always delighted with their support from Fledging. You’ll actively contribute to our revenue and reputation while learning the ropes of a growth-stage startup. This role is built heavily around commission, with a base salary and commission structure that reflects our need to add many new clients. 

While we would love to see you in the office sometime, this role is fully remote. It’s where most roles should be these days anyways, and with the current pandemic situation, it’s also safest for all involved.

  • 3+ years of account management experience in B2B sales
  • Track record of collaborating across multiple business units
  • Great project management skills
  • Comfortable working autonomously and asynchronously, after your training period

  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or a comparable CRM
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
  • The ability to proactively engage new clients through email and phone
  • A knack for asking great questions to uncover issues with a prospect’s current electronic needs
  • A team-player attitude with a strong desire to help improve internal processes beyond your day-to-day tasks
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Experience in consumer electronics is a plus
Note: This role may require some travel, but that really depends on you 

  • Complete our startup on-boarding program
  • You’ll learn about all aspects of the business alongside our cross-functional team
  • Get virtual coffee/tea with everyone on the team so you can learn more about everyone personally and professionally
  • You will meet your team mentor who you will shadow under and learn from so you can get situated into your new role
  • Complete training to learn how to access and use all internal tools, including Google Apps, Slack, Dropbox, Trello, Google Analytics, Mailchimp HubSpot, and other role-specific tools
  • Complete training to learn how to access and use all internal tools, including Google Suite, Slack, Dropbox, Trello, HubSpot and other role-specific tools
  • By your fourth week, you should have gained all the knowledge you need to start developing new accounts

  • Generate best practices for maintaining partnerships with tech repair shops, universities, IT companies, and distributors
  • Be the direct point of contact for our B2B accounts and maintain communication with B2B accounts on a regular basis
  • Share the insights you gather our B2B accounts with our team on a weekly basis
  • Ensure happiness with our B2B accounts with clear communication, meeting shipment deadlines, and identifying new ways how we can provide support
  • Provide professional after-sales support to enhance our B2B accounts’ dedication
  • Step up as a leader to the new Fledging team members
  • Effortlessly fold in cold outreach to your routine where you can jump into a phone conversation with anyone while consistently meeting your numbers
  • Tap into the knowledge you’ve been building to discover totally new sources of leads that we can reach out to
  • Manage 10+ B2B account relationships
  • Craft a B2B playbook to be used internally as Fledging further grows its B2B strategy
  • Become a senior member of the team, helping onboard, train and mentor your peers
