VIVA HEALTH, ranked one of the nation's Best Places to Work by Modern Healthcare, has a work-from-home opportunity with occasional on-site work in our Information Systems Department. We are seeking a Web Application Developer. The Web Application Developer will serve as a technical resource for the design and development of internal and external applications. This position is responsible for gathering requirements, needs analysis, design, prototypes, walkthroughs and wireframes. This position is responsible for the overall look, feel and UX of robust enterprise-ready healthcare applications. This position must have a complete working knowledge of web application architectures, experience with javascript frameworks and strong design skills.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Less than 1 year experience in design and/or development
- Ability to create Working Prototypes
- Knowledge of UX Design for web applications
- Strong understanding of HTML(5), CSS(3) and JavaScript Frameworks
- Understanding of model-driven development such as ROR, Grails, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for frequent interaction with various levels of staff, both internal and external
PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Web Architecture
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in design and/or development in a healthcare software environment
- Knowledge of UX Design for mobile and tablet applications
