SYSTEMS ANALYST ARCHITECT-ENT - (T207956)

Description

 

To independently employ a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in a particular field of specialization to plan, design, develop and support systems and projects. To conduct research and analysis and present findings for review. To carry out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures or facilitate establishment of standards that guide technology design to include integration across multiple platforms, operating systems and applications within the enterprise. To develop and document the framework for integration and implementation of technical standards. To review, advise and design software and hardware build, options, risks, costs, benefits and impact on the enterprise processes and goals. To provide senior expertise on decisions and prioritization regarding the enterprise's system architecture. This position will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.

 This position is responsible for applications supported by the UAB IT Infrastructure teams including the support of Office 365-based applications such as Email, SharePoint, and Teams as well as on-premises, Exchange, Active Directory, and File Services.

·         Manage support staff for one or more Office 365 service applications

·         Manage support staff for on-premises Exchange and Active Directory

·         Manage support staff for UABFile Service and Box.com

This position supports other messaging and collaboration initiatives between UAB campus and UAB hospital.

·         Support active UAB IT projects as needed. Will support various cloud services as needed (ex: Box.com) 

·         Conduct monthly workload review and assignment for the Applications Support Team

·         Assess business processes and propose improvements as needed

·         Foster and maintain high documentation standards 

 

 

Annual Salary Range: $94,375.00 - $153,355.00

 

Qualifications

 

Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and ten (10) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. The successful candidate will a team player; strong communicator; comfortable with an open work environment; has a progressive work history with a desire to continuously learn and grow and is driven by integrity.

 Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·         Proficient with PowerShell and script automation

·         Strong knowledge of Exchange and Active Directory

·         Experience with Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory and Office 365

·         Experience with large scale distributed systems in production

·         Good knowledge of internet networking and performance

·         Good knowledge of mail routing and Microsoft IIS web hosting

·         Familiarity with supporting linux systems

·         Passionate about troubleshooting, debugging, and automation

·         Knowledge of best practices and tooling

·         Comfortable with providing technical and project documentation
