Salary Range 

$60,835 - $98,855 


Job Description 

To maintain integrity of the operating system environment. To perform system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination. To perform workstation and server administration setup. To coordinate disk space planning and management. To maintain growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries, and software and hardware inventories. To perform data backups and recoveries. To monitor and maintain continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements. To provide recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting. To maintain production change control schedule and participates in change control.

Key Job Duties/Responsibilities

- To conduct business requirements reviews, technical systems specifications and systems process analysis pertaining specifically to managed workstations and assigned servers.

- To perform system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.

- To develop detailed selection evaluation criteria for maintaining system management methods and solutions.

- To analyze and re-engineer business processes using industry standard tools and methods with understanding of the technical and business environments.

- To partner with business process experts to learn and understand problems with software.

- To develop innovative IT solutions for risky and demanding business situations.

- Working with Project Teams and vendors to test, package and deploy needed software solutions that are net new and to maintain/upgrade existing software solutions.

- Maintain Workstation and assigned Server Operating Systems using Microsoft SCCM.

- Utilize Desktop Management tools such as SCCM, HP Device Manager, Powerbroker, App Locker, PrintInstaller and others.

All these actions are to be framed and confirmed keeping security risk in mind and a commitment to maintain a high standard of security as it pertains to workstation and assigned server systems.

Job Requirements

Associate s degree in Information Systems or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.


Preferred Skills 

- Maintaining Workstation and assigned Server Operating Systems using Microsoft SCCM.

- Utilizing Desktop Management tools such as LANDesk/Ivanti and Bomgar

- Familiarity with Linux or other Unix based workstations specifically thin clients is helpful.

- Experience with scripting and packaging methods for deploying to a very large enterprise while maintaining quality and change control requirements.
