About the Role

Project Managers in our Project Management Competency lead project teams with clients and stakeholders (both external and internal) to improve business processes, drive projects, develop project plans and documentation, and focus on business strategies and deliverables with an emphasis on digital strategy and digital transformation. Project Managers will lead teams on a day-to day basis being accountable for overall delivery excellence of scope, schedule, cost, and quality from initiation to handover.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure delivery excellence across assigned project(s) while maintaining control of scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally, providing certainty and confidence to the client, project team, and internal leadership.
  • Provide project leadership, guidance, and resolution to project resources in accordance with Sparkhound policies and procedures.
  • Develop full-scale project plans, budgets, monitors, controls, and documents all project lifecycle phases.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support client contracts.
  • Develop costing proposals for new and existing projects, perform risk analysis, and manage change control.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues and devise contingency plans.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to project resources and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
  • Act as an effective liaison between client project stakeholders and Sparkhound, able to align Sparkhound’s various resources and capabilities to client project needs.
  • Provide or contribute to business analysis, and user needs analysis for projects.
  • Define project requirements, including leading and eliciting requirements gathering sessions.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationship vital to the success of the project.
  • Contribute to Delivery Excellence continual improvement initiatives.
  • Live out the Sparkhound Culture.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Are You a Fit?

  • 4-year degree preferably in a business or technical discipline (or equivalent work experience).
  • At least 8 years project management experience; expert in area of project management and knowledgeable about cross functional impacts.
  • Customer focused – develops and maintains strong relationships, continuously strives to exceed expectations and providing value add opportunities.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal presentation skills.
  • Proven planning and execution experience that includes resources, scope, scheduling, cost, change management, performance management and communication.
  • Able to manage project mobilization, produce and communicate project execution strategy and plan.
  • Skilled practitioner in risk management and impacts associated with cost, time, and contingency.
  • Understands how changes influence performance, how they should be tracked, and the different approaches to managing.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of stakeholder and requirements management.
  • Decisive, ability to make decisions and follow through.
  • Proficient use of project delivery systems.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Flexible to respond in agile ways to changing needs.
  • Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity.

Bonus Points For:

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience with SCRUM, Agile Methodologies, and Product Management.
  • Strong ability to work independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment while applying senior level experience to business and technology project decision-making.
  • Develops skills outside of normal field of specialization.
