IT Support Specialist

Oakworth Capital Bank is expanding and has an excellent opportunity for someone to join our team in Birmingham, AL! We are looking for a fulltime IT Support Specialist that will play a vital role in supporting our business goals and overall vision. Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide assistance to both local and offsite associates/clients with technical problems and requests, across multiple markets.

Key Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all Helpdesk Support and tickets
  • Manages all desktop and hardware support & maintenance
  • Core Security Management
  • Vendor liaison

Responsibility Details:

  • Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling, and Internet service providers.
  • Establishes and maintains access control for network users, user environment, directories, and security. This includes Active Directory, M365, and the Core Platform.
  • Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs.
  • Communicates with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware, and operations problems.
  • Provides telecom support and maintenance.
  • Offers desktop support and assistance for various applications for local and offsite users.
  • Responsible for hardware and software purchasing, working with vendors to request repairs/maintenance and obtaining quotes, managing inventory, forecasting future needs.
  • Performs project management and implementation as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree or 1-2 years of related experience or training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to provide a high level of service and work collaboratively across various teams
