Kids Code Club- Parents FAQ

Thank you for registering your child for Kids Code Club.

We have tried to put together this FAQ with the needs of the parent and participant in mind, with the goal of making it a fun event for all involved.

What is the event about?

Kids Code Club are a 90-minute technology exploration program that introduces kids to different areas of technology. The aim of these clubs is to foster a love of technology exploration and provide a setting in which kids can socialize with other kids who share their passion for STEM. Our volunteers will come with prepared lessons and instruction that will last 20-30 minutes and the rest of the time will be spent in self-driven exploration of the topic. Kids are welcome to bring their own projects that they have created to share with the group.

What are the COVID protocols?

All participants (children and parents) will be required to wear a mask on the premises at all times. There will be hand sanitizer available as well in each classroom for students to use before and after their session. If you have had a COVID diagnosis or any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath among others; Please do not attend the session and notify stephanie@techbirmingham.com

Where will it be held?

McWane Science Center, 200 19th Street N, Birmingham, AL 35203. Once inside the Museum, we are in the third-floor classrooms.

What time do I need to be there?
