Growing a SaaS Startup: A Look in the Rearview Mirror

Matt Chapman is the Product Marketing Manager – and first-ever hire in 2012 – at Fleetio, a fleet management software headquartered in Birmingham.

Fleetio started with a simple idea, leveraging the feedback of local businesses and resources at Innovation Depot. The company now works with thousands of fleets across the globe, including notable customers such as Subaru, Stanley Steemer, and AAA. Recently, Fleetio has also launched a marquee partnership with Ford.

From his perspective as Fleetio’s first hire, Chapman will discuss Fleetio’s journey from those early days, including how they became a leader in the world of fleet data, the steps taken to earn respect within the marketplace, and some of the challenges and hurdles that were overcome through the years. You’ll also hear how the company continues to grow while retaining a fun and inviting culture.
